India Vs Sri Lanka T20 Series – India Beat Sri Lanka In One Sided Match

After winning the 3 match ODI series with Sri Lanka by 2-1, Shikhar Dhawan led team India defeated Sri Lanka in opening T20 match in Colombo.
Surya Kumar Yadav and Shikhar Dhawan were the top scorer from the Indian side with the score of 50(34) and 46(36) respectively, Sanju Samson also added 27 in 24 balls.
After losing the toss India was called to bat first and scored 164/5 in their 20 overs.
In response from Sri Lanka, opener Avishka Fernando scored 26(23) and Charith Asalanka scored 44(26).
India bowled out Sri Lanka for 126 in 18.3over to claim their first victory. Team India is now leading the 3 match series with 1-0.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 4 wicket for 22 runs in his 3.3 overs and Deepak Chahar was the second leading wicket taker of today’s match with 2 wicket for 24 runs in his 3 overs.
This Shikhar Dhawan-led team India was touted as the B team by the experts since the day the series was announced. But after wining the ODI series by 2-1 and the opening match of the t20 series, those cricket gurus have now gone silent.
Second match of the series will be played on 27-07-21, in Colombo.
