All three actors were from Punjab of British-India. Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor were originally from the land in Peshawar, which is in Pakistan – they were also school mates. Dev Anand was born in Gurdaspur, India. They started their journey as actors at same time period. Raj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar got popularity from the film released in 1949 called Andaz, which became hugely popular.
